Abadeh is most famous for its exquisite wood carving (monabat) — a traditional art of delicate, raised designs on wood. In 2018, the town was officially recognized as a “Global City of Wood Carving” by the World Crafts Council, highlighting the international significance of its artisans. This recognition not only honors local pride but also places Abadeh’s craftsmanship on the world stage.
